This course will be taught by Kevin Boggs, Amy Couchoud, and Joseph Price. You can see their photos and bios by going to the drop-down menu under classes and clicking "Our instructors". Two out of the three teachers have taught this course four times, and one twice. We will distribute three handouts during the class. You are not required to bring anything but a pen, paper, and an open mind. We will help take you through the process from start to finish, so you don't even have to have a clue about what story you'll tell. The class is divided into five distinct parts -- finding story material, demonstration and discussion of story structure and technique, story-telling practice, activity on character and dialogue, and feedback from the instructors. It is full and active. The space is air conditioned.

Who teaches this course? What is their background and experience in telling? How many times have they taught this particular course before? Are there any resource materials distributed/required/recommended and if so what are they?

The class description states what we will leave with but is there at least a general outline you can post which will give us a sense as to the organization of the instruction?

Is the class space air conditioned on a Saturday?

Hi Tammara. The streets are not metered. You can park for as long as you want on a Saturday. It's permit parking on weekdays, but not weekends. Usually not a problem to find a spot.

You say street parking is available...is it metered? If so, will DC permit all day parking (i.e., feeding meter all day). I'm coming from VA and thinking that metro would be best to take except leaving at 8:00 for a 9:45 class :(
