How do we take complex information and make it understood by a wider audience? How do we persuade others to act? SpeakeasyDC can help. SpeakeasyDC’s seminars and presentations are designed to help your group understand narrative structure, find story content, develop a strong story, and determine how best to incorporate storytelling in a way that helps you meet your goals.

Stories have proven to be the “stickiest” possible way to communicate a message. In other words, stories “stick” in our memory more than raw data and information. Humans are hard-wired to understand the world through story, so when  information is coupled with narrative content and a narrative structure , presentations are far more  engaging, compelling, and memorable. There is also no better way to build rapport with and gain the trust and attention of your audience.

Many companies and organizations are discovering how valuable it is for knowledge to be shared in the workplace.   It is surprising, however, how little time and effort is put towards creating an environment that encourages and facilitates the sharing of knowledge. Most employees are just trying to keep on top of their own task list. Knowledge-sharing can only happen if the leadership makes a commitment to it and builds it into the culture. A certain kind of  knowledge  can be shared through using integrated technologies, but storytelling is one of the only ways to access historical knowledge and to build connections between employees. SpeakeasyDC will help your employees share the stories they have of successes and failures, challenges and highlights. More recent employees will gain insight from more seasoned professionals; discover more about your staff; develop the company story.

BE ENTERTAINED

Do you need entertaiment for your next holiday party? conference? staff retreat? We are masters at putting together outsanding shows around almost any given theme, so we are truly able to customize a show to fit your needs. Each show will include performances of entertaining and compelling autobiographical stories based around a topic of your choice.
