Volunteer

We could not survive without the help of our fabulously charming and good-looking cadre of volunteers. Our volunteers help us at our events with things like set up, box office, email collection, and clean-up. Between events, we count on our volunteers to help us get the word out through social networks, press releases, postcard distribution, outreach, and video post-production.

We often go to our volunteers for suggestions and feedback. We welcome help with administrative support, proofreading, graphic design, publicity, marketing, fundraising, event planning, organizational development and any other special skills you’d like to offer to SpeakeasyDC.

The two biggest fringe bennies of volunteering for SpeakeasyDC are being part of a wonderful community of fun, warm, and talented people and being a part of something that impacts people’s lives in such a powerful and positive way.  In addition to that, active volunteers are invited to our annual picnic and other special events, offered comps when we have extra tickets, and qualify for our work-study program.
