Ladies and gents, it is ON! Our biggest event EVER in the 15-year history of SpeakeasyDC. It’s a testament to our fantastic talent and loving fans that we can take on this 750-seat house, so don’t miss out! We’ve screened every story told on our stage between Nov 2011 and Oct 2012 (about 150) and, with the help of our smart and sexy judges, have selected eight of our best stories for this phenomenal showcase. THE TEACHERS
This could not be possible without the dedication and talent of the teachers who have helped each and every one of these storytellers craft their stories. Our teaching staff also volunteered many hours to screen every performance so that each storyteller got a fair shake. Extra special thanks must be given to two people: Stephanie Garibaldi and Amy Couchoud. Stephanie has been at the helm of our education program for years, as well as coaching and curating our 2nd Tuesday Storytelling Series every month. Amy Couchoud has worked tirelessly to lead a fair and thorough selection process for this big event and will share in directing the final show. From L to R: Stephanie Garibaldi, Amy Couchoud, Meredith Maslich, Kevin Boggs, Joseph Price, and Vijai Nathan.
